Sorry it's been awhile. Again. I just finished my Junior year of high school. It's crazy to think that I'm a senior now. Life's been hectic. Between school, work, and trying to get in shape and work on my mental health, this blog has been neglected, unfortunately. And to top it all off, I got a … Continue reading 1000 Days on Testosterone
CW: Transphobia, mentions of self-harm “On Thursday afternoon, conservative celebrity Ben Shapiro used the main stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, to criticize the notion of transgender identity. ‘You don’t get to tell little boys that they can become little girls,’ he said with audible relish.” This quote from Newsweek … Continue reading The Complex Issue of Childhood Transition
So, I have been HORRIBLE about uploading GAYRHS broadcasts this season. So, here they all are, minus the first broadcast, which is right here! Second Broadcast: Third Broadcast: Fourth Broadcast: Fifth Broadcast: Sixth Broadcast: Seventh Broadcast: Eighth Broadcast: Ninth Broadcast: Tenth Broadcast:
I promise a new piece for this blog is coming out soon! It's all about the controversies surrounding transgender children. All I need is free time and motivation... Anyways, here's a presentation for next week's GSA meeting that I made. It was pretty fun to create, and for once, I made it pretty short! KEYNOTE … Continue reading LGBT+ Around the World Presentation
School break is almost over. ... So you know instead of doing homework, I'm making presentations for my school's GSA! I'm using Keynote for the presentations, and I'll upload this one I just finished as a PDF, so there won't be any effects/transitions/sound. I might upload the full version later. I'm insanely proud of this … Continue reading LGBT+ History Presentation PDF
Oops. Sorry I've neglected this blog for months now. It's time to get back on track. These past few months have been absolutely insane. I hit my three year manniversary, I got my driver's license, I got my braces off (after 5 years!), etc. I can't even think of everything off the top of my head. … Continue reading It’s Been Awhile… (Part 2)
I profusely apologize for abandoning this for awhile. Life has gotten hectic. September 25th was my two years on T, and I still have to make a post about that. Oh well. In the mean time, here's GAYRHS S2 E1 from last week!
So my amazing friend Gen took some pics of me today! I'm going to share my faves here. (Also, I'm working on some really cool new posts! They'll be coming soon!)
Woot Woot! Here's the season one finale of my radio show! Today was pretty much all on the spot, except for this article, which I read the entire thing. Coming up next: Cool survey I made, which I'm writing a response to.
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Keep an eye out for new posts soon! Outline Today’s episode: Introduction Current Events IDAHOT ACP Current Events Taiwanese laws that prohibit same-sex couples from marrying violate their personal freedom and equal protection, the island's Constitutional Court ruled Wednesday. GAYRHS Episode 9, aired on 5/04/17. I didn't stay totally on topic today, but I talked about Chechnya, the AHCA, Kim Davis, the Religious Freedom EO, and more. I also explained a bit on my gender neutral accommodations project.
This is not okay. The AHCA is counting transgender identity as a pre-existing condition, making trans related surgeries not covered under insurance. And that is inhumane. One, they use the term 'transsexualism', which is inaccurate. Transgender identity is not related to sexual orientation. My sexual orientation is no way related to my gender identity. Transsexualism/Transgenderism … Continue reading Trans People and the AHCA
